July 12th-Sunday: Rest Day
July 13th-Monday: 10 miles-(1:18:08) in the AM
July 14th-Tuesday: 7 miles-(56:30 + 2 BF ST on the grass) with Greg in the AM
July 15th-Wednesday: 6 miles-(47:45) in the AM + another 4 miles-(32:16-wore my orange adidas shoes and irritated my right hamstring) in the PM
July 16th-Thursday: 8 miles-(65:28)-felt okay in the AM
July 17th-Friday: 4 miles-(32:52 + drills + 5 ST on dirt) in the AM
July 18th-Saturday: Frenzy in the Forest trail race with the fam-9 miles-(1.6 wu-14:28 + 4.35 mi. race-30:26 + 3.05 cd-24:21)-combined total-(69:15) in the AM. I ended up with 2nd OA + 1st in my age group of 20-29. Tough course + gnarly trails + no wipe outs = a definite good time! I stuck with my younger bro Seth right up until the last half a mile or so where he lost me on a good downhill section. We got rid of any pursuers within the first couple miles. I'm pretty happy with it overall, and I'm already looking forward to next weekend's 10k trail race over in Vermont! :D
48 miles-(6:22:14) of running including 1 rewarding trail race for the week! I'm at a good place with mileage right now, and I need to work at keeping it up over 6 hrs of total training time per week because that's what I race well off of! :)
