August 5th-Monday: Speed workout with Kurt at 12:52pm-(1.5wu-12:52; dynamics and striders; 6x800-2:53, 2:51, 2:53, 2:52, 2:48, and 2:45(Kurt threw down a 2:34 for the last one); 1.5cd-13:20). I was happy with it for the most part :) Out for another 4mi.-(32:00) with Seth at 5:34pm
August 6th-Tuesday: Day off
August 7th-Wednesday: Day off-(1st day at the new job)
August 8th-Thursday: Day off
August 9th-Friday: Got in an okay 3mi.-(25:01) at 9:25pm
August 10th-Saturday: Alton 5k at 9am in 19:15. Kurt beat me by 11 seconds. Seth came in at 20:38-good for the amount of training completed this summer :) Virtually no warm up...just jogged down the road and back...like 2-3min. pretty bad...I didn't have enough time pre-race. No cool down after this one.
August 11th-Sunday: Day off-pretty sore
A measly 16mi. for the week
August 12th-Monday: 5:30ish wake up. Out for 6mi.-51:04 at 5:52am---such a zombie run
August 13th-Tuesday: Day off
August 14th-Wednesday: Day off
August 15th-Thursday: 6:40am wake up. Work 7:30-3pm. Got through 4mi.-(31:10) at 4:44pm before dinner. Didn't feel good.
August 16th-Friday: 6:30am wake up. Shorter day at work-(7:30-12:30pm). Took a 30min. nap at 3ish. Ran 4mi.-(33:18) at 8:17pm...felt pretty good overall.
